J: Do you see that man there? The one in directly in front of you behind the woman at the register?
M: Yeah, so what?
J: He is your salvation.
M: What?! That guy right there will save me?
J: That’s correct. However, the choice for allowing him to save you must inevitably remain with you.
M: Sorry, I don’t get it. I’m not going to have any interaction with this guy. We’re both waiting to checkout. I have no desire to interact in any way, let alone for him to save me or even for me to allow him to.
J: Clearly then, you have made your choice.
M: Well, wait a minute, how can he save me?
J: The moment you cease to judge him, you are saved.
M: Well that should be easy. I haven’t judged him at all.
J: Notice how little vigilance you provide your own thoughts. You believe so strongly in your actions, but God requires no action. There is nothing you must DO to know peace, love and joy. I have always taught that to know God you must SEE God.
You do not recall that when you looked at him you judged him in envy as he stood ahead of you in this line? You then judged him as disheveled based on his clothing and overweight based on his body shape. You further judged and classified him based on various other interpretations all in less than a few brief moments. In less then a few seconds you locked him into an interpretation that defined what he would be for you. How you judge others must be how you judge yourself.
I teach that you are God, therefore, your judgments oppose my teaching.
In addition, through these interpretations you determined the degree of closeness you would allow and if, in fact, interaction were to take place at all. I will remind you that you immediately determined that "indifference" would benefit you. This is a determination you often make.
However, not only have you made judgments of him, but you have instantly judged every "body" that you have observed. Clearly to your mind there was only one person that you provided specific attention to and this was based on “ego” preferences. You chose her as applicable only in aiding in the affirmation of your delusional “self"
Self-protection is a top priority and, through sensory perception, you judge who is a threat and what level of threat each "body" represents. In your need to assert your delusion of "self" you also identify those who have the potential to aid you in affirming that misinterpretation.
M: Wow, I was thinking all that? So how do I change my interpretations?
J: Simply allow me to interpret for you. I do not see bodies that attack or that are guilty of the potential to attack. Ask of me and I will judge for you. My vision does not SEE "orders of reality" or "levels of delusion" as my vision sees only wholeness and I give you thoughts that can assist you in seeing the same. You do desire wholeness.
M: Ok, so how should I interpret this man in front of me?
J: You may wish to consider that he loves his children and that he struggles hard to support his family. You may wish to consider that he enjoys laughter and likes others to laugh with him. You may consider that he struggles with life problems, but believes that he does the best that he can based on what he knows right now. You also may wish to consider that he suffers and feels pain and dreams of a better future for himself and his family.
M: Wait a minute! I know where you’re going with this. Those are all things that pertain to me. You’re describing me. Obviously, you’re saying that he is me?
J: Your thoughts reveal that the truth of this is not so obvious to you. However, you may wish to consider these thoughts and if you allow me to judge for you, I guarantee you will. This is because through my vision you will see only truth.
[just then this guy turns around seemingly to look at someone coming in the door, but, instead we look directly at each other for a brief second and we both simultaneously smile. Then he turns around and moves up to the clerk and the clerk checks out his items]
M: Damn! What’s up with that?
J: As you recognize less of a need to protect yourself from others you will naturally allow me to aid you in joining with others. This joining can only facilitate the recognition that all is YOU and nothing is outside you.
Frequently, as now, it will be only in the form of a smile. Other times it may be more profound. Eventually you will understand that salvation is not a solitary activity and requires that you share your thoughts. You will one day seek me in the faces of everyone you encounter and, again, I will smile back at you, for there is not one soul in this reality that does not share in God’s Being. You may try to believe in this for now, but when you KNOW it, then salvation is certain.
Judge any part of the whole and the whole must elude you and you will remain fragmented. As long as your thought separates and divides, so will the world witness to that fragmentation of your mind.
